Product description
The current source is used to power and test individual LEDs or strings (modules) that do not contain their own electronics that provide current regulation. Control via text commands allows setting the desired LED current and then measuring the actual voltage. Limits can be set for both current and voltage to prevent unwanted exceeding of the limit parameters of the connected LEDs.
In addition to the PC communication mode, the power supply can also be operated in stand-alone mode. The required current and voltage and current limits are set in advance and stored in the power supply memory, then the power supply is triggered only by a digital input. The result of the test (OK/NOK), whether the LED module is within the specified limits, is indicated by the digital output.
For modules that contain multiple LED strings with a common cathode, it is possible to use several current sources in parallel and set their currents individually. Current regulation is done by changing the voltage at the anode, while the cathode potential remains constant.
